Introduction part 4 - Experience: Travel

Yes, it's that important. I write this blog, as an American, with an American's perspective to what I expect will be a mostly American audience. In other parts of the world, travel is a natural and expected part of living, but in America, we're mostly homebodies. We've been told that America is the best place on earth, so why go anywhere else? This thinking brews a lack of interest in travel. It saps the desire for adventure, exploration, and danger. Those are essential experiences for any man.

Don't take travel lightly and don't confuse it's purpose. Travel isn't always about simply relaxing on a beach. It's not just an excuse to get out of the house. Travel should be a challenge to your comfort zone. It's the only way to expand your understanding of the world and your place in it.
